National Indian Child Welfare Association (NICWA) Virtual Book Club with Angeline Boulley

September 23 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Angeline Boulley, author of Firekeeper’s Daughter and Warrior Girl Unearthed, is joining the National Indian Child Welfare Association (NICWA) for a special book club webinar to discuss her new book, Sisters in the Wind, on September 23, 2025.

In her latest novel, Boulley tells the story of Lucy, a teenager who has spent five years in the foster system and is now learning of her Ojibwe heritage. As with her other books, Boulley uses her stories to shed light on real issues in Indian Country, like the Indian Child Welfare Act (ICWA), through the lens of the Sugar Island community.

Join the NICWA team on September 23rd as we discuss ICWA and its important role in Sisters in the Wind.
