WiFCC Caregiver Getaway: La Crosse
April 26 @ 10:30 am - 2:30 pm
Parents and caregivers (adoptive, foster, guardianship, kinship/relative, and reunified caregivers who reside in Wisconsin): you deserve a day for YOU! We invite you to take a night away and join the Wisconsin Family Connections Center to focus on caring for yourself. Attend as an individual or as a couple; both are welcome! Our speaker, Jennifer Wille, will guide us through the day with a presentation entitled “Embracing Grace: A Day for You.” This day is meant to incorporate connection, learning, and rest to help you recharge. You will notice the day begins a bit late and ends a bit early because we wanted to build intentional time for slowness into this opportunity (as well as give anyone traveling some extra morning time). Registration for this getaway is open to adoptive, foster, guardianship, kinship/relative, and reunified caregivers residing in Wisconsin. A certificate of attendance (3 hours) will be available upon request for ongoing education documentation if needed. Registrants must be in attendance for Saturday’s programming in order to be eligible for hotel and childcare reimbursements.

- A one-night hotel reimbursement of up to $150*
- Saturday programming & lunch
- Child care reimbursement(up to $50/one child or $100/family)
AGENDA FOR THE DAY
- 10-10:30 Check-in (fruit and coffee available)
- 10:30-12 Morning Session
- 12-1 Lunch (provided) & time to connect with other attendees
- 1-2:30 Afternoon Session
Please note:
- This is an adults-only event, and no childcare will be available on-site. Registrants must attend the Saturday programming to take advantage of the childcare reimbursement and one-night hotel reimbursement.
- There are 3 WiFCC Caregiver Getaways this spring (Rhinelander 4/12, Brookfield 4/26, & La Crosse 4/26). Each household should register for only ONE of these getaways so that as many families as possible may benefit from these offerings.
Space for this event is limited.
*Hotel reimbursement details: A one-night hotel reimbursement of up to $150 is available for all attending households. Your room may be booked at the event hotel or another nearby hotel and still receive the reimbursement. Registrants are responsible for booking & paying for hotel rooms individually – these reservations will NOT be booked or paid for by the WiFCC.

Cancellations for events must be made at least 72 hours in advance. If 3 or more late cancellations or no-shows occur within a six-month period, the household’s event registrations in the following six months will default to a waitlist.
