Providing services and support to individuals, families, and caregivers with past or present involvement with foster care, adoption, reunification, kinship, and guardianship.

The Wisconsin Family Connections Center (WiFCC) provides a safe, welcoming space for families and communities impacted by the child welfare care system. Our resources include referrals, training, and support for:
- Kinship/relative caregiving families
- Foster families
- Families post-permanency
- Professionals serving and supporting these families
The Wisconsin Family Connections Center provides educational resources and personalized referrals to support your family’s unique needs—whether you’re a prospective or current foster/adoptive parent or a kinship/relative caregiver.
Our resource library gives you access to a large collection of:
- Books
- DVDs
- And virtual resources such as tip sheets, articles, and resource kits
All designed to support your family’s growth and well-being.
We know that it takes a village, and as such, we believe in hosting and facilitating:
- Family fun events
- Support groups
- Virtual Connection opportunities
- Trainings
- And more
We also offer numerous webinars to educate parents, caregivers, and professionals working in child welfare on the various types of resources and support that exist in Wisconsin. We also host virtual and in-person conferences to allow families to connect, learn, and find connection with families in similar situations.
The Wisconsin Family Connections Center offers continued support and assistance for prospective and current adoptive and foster parents. We encourage and promote the ability to connect with members of our statewide and regional teams for coaching, guidance, and support. The Wisconsin Family Connections Center has a number of resources dedicated to prospective foster parents, from learning more about what foster care is, the process of becoming a foster parent, helping foster teens transition into adulthood, supporting foster children’s social-emotional learning and development, navigating grief, and more.
Our short-term case management program, Giving Incredible Families Tools for Success (GIFTS), is designed to help caregivers with adoption or out-of-home care experience by providing ongoing support, skill development and coaching, service referrals, and more. With our statewide and region-wide network of contacts, you can reach out to a team member representative to find more specific information related to your situation. You will gain access to any regional or state-level policies that might apply to your family as well as referrals to other organizations.
