National Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition

The National Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition (NABS) is a national nonprofit founded in 2012 as the first organization dedicated to addressing the ongoing trauma created by U.S. Indian boarding school policies. Led entirely by Native American and Alaska Native board members, NABS works to increase public awareness, document survivor stories and oral histories, advocate for a federal Truth and Healing Commission, and support healing through cultural restoration and community programs. Their coalition includes more than 100 member organizations and tribal nations working together toward truth, justice, and healing for Indigenous peoples.
