This group is especially for parents/caregivers who are looking for: \n–A place to be seen\, heard\, and supported from other attendees who understand similar parenting challenges; \n–More brain based\, connection-focused parenting support; and \n-Helpful ideas and resources from the group’s facilitators. \nThe group meets on the 3rd Monday of each month from noon (12:00 pm) – 1:00 pm. There will be monthly focus areas for discussion and/or guest speakers to support ongoing learning\, but always with plenty of time for connection and support. SUMMARY:Nature's Navigators STEM Camp
DESCRIPTION:Nature’s Navigators STEM Camp aims to broaden science opportunities for autistic youth by providing a summer camp that supports inquisitiveness in a non-threatening\, nontraditional\, and inclusive learning environment. We provide nature-based\, hands-on learning opportunities and encourage pursuing STEM (science\, technology\, engineering\, and mathematics) degrees and careers. \nThe camp is open to all autistic youth within grades 5-12. That includes youth with a medical diagnosis\, self-diagnosis\, or suspected diagnosis.  Nature’s Navigators embraces neurodivergence and the associated unique thinking and learning of autistic youth through flexible teaching strategies. \nAttendees will participate in hands-on outdoor and indoor activities\, such as barging to and exploring Blackhawk Island\, geocaching for treasure\, Lego robotics\, and hiking through beautiful landscapes. The camp will be held at Upham Woods\, along the famous Dells (Dalles) of the Wisconsin River\, two miles northwest of Wisconsin Dells. Upham Woods consists of 320 acres of land on the banks of the Wisconsin River\, including a 210-acre island called Blackhawk Island\, which offers an excellent “river classroom” to study Wisconsin’s natural and cultural history. \nNature’s Navigators is funded by the USDA-backed Wisconsin Rural Partnerships Institute\, a gift from the Read Coakley Family Foundation\, and gifts from other generous donors. The camp is free to all attendees. All youth campers must be accompanied by an adult during the duration of the camp sessions. \nRegistration is required and space is limited.

DESCRIPTION:The Fourth Annual Rock County Foster Parent Conference promises to be both informative and engaging for all attendees. We are once again opening the Conference up statewide for ANY licensed foster parent (county licensed or tfc licensed).  The day will kick off at 7:45 a.m. with doors opening\, registration\, and morning refreshments. The Welcome and Opening Remarks will be given by Katarina Craig\, Permanency Resource Supervisor. The morning Keynote address will be given by one of the 2026 honorees of the 19th Annual Rock County Sheriff’s Office Awards\, Detective Luke DuCharme. As a member of the Wisconsin Internet Crimes Against Children Taskforce\, Detective DuCharme will speak about Internet Safety. Participants will then head to their pre-selected morning break-out sessions. We will come back together for a catered lunch from Mission BBQ . We will then participate in a group activity. Pre-selected afternoon break-out sessions will follow. Our afternoon will wrap up with a Keynote address given by nationally known adoptee and social entrepreneur\, Isaac Etter. Isaac was transracially adopted at age two and uses his story and deep passion for foster care and adoption education to bring relevant\, quality\, and diverse resources to foster and adoptive parents. \n**New this year….You will have opportunities throughout the day (breaks and lunch time) to observe “Hidden in Plain Sight\,” which is an interactive drug awareness and prevention program. It simulates a teenager’s bedroom to help adults identify hidden signs of risky behavior\, substance abuse\, and everyday objects used as secret stashes or paraphernalia. ** \nThe conference is a great opportunity to obtain 8 hours of training credit\, network with other foster parents\, and gain insights from experts in the field. DESCRIPTION:Registration for this event is required on Eventbrite. (on sale October 1\, 2026 @6pm) \n\n\n\n\nIf you are a foster\, adoptive\, kinship\, guardianship\, reunified\, or pre-adoptive family\, join WiFCC and Jockey Being Family for an evening of connection and holiday fun with Suamico Stained Glass. We will be spending our time together making Christmas stained glass ornaments. \nThis is such a fun family class and Angie the instructor describes it as decorating a sugar cookie\, but you can’t eat it. This class is great for all ages. Anyone under the age of 12 should have an adult assist with their project. \nThere are a lot of different base ideas\, such as a Christmas tree\, mitten\, or snowflake. You will be able to use scrap glass pieces\, frit\, stringers\, and dots to decorate your Christmas ornament. Once you are finished with your beautiful creation\, Suamico Stained Glass will fuse it in their kiln\, and it will be available for pick-up in 10 to 12 business days.
