Fostering and Supporting Children with Disruptive Behaviors


Disruptive behaviors are “beyond naughty.” They are disorders often affecting foster and adopted children and include attachment disorders, ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), Conduct Disorder, and Aspergers Syndrome.

Training objectives:

  • To increase foster parents’ knowledge of disruptive behavior disorders in children.
  • To learn about appropriate treatment options.
  • To identify supportive strategies for foster parents that will assist in the care of children with disruptive behavior disorders.
