WiFCC Day at a State Park: Rib Mountain – Wausau
April 20 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Wisconsin Family Connections Center invites adoptive, foster, guardianship, relative/kinship, and reunified families to kick off a season of nature exploration with a Day at Rib Mountain State Park! You will have the opportunity to stock up with water and snacks, as well as meet and greet with other families before you head out on your adventure. All families will receive a scavenger hunt activity and a 2024 season vehicle admission sticker for Wisconsin’s State Parks (limit of one pass per family)!
From the park website: This billion-year-old hill is one of the oldest geological formations on earth. Rib Mountain State Park is a premier day-use property with picnicking, hiking trails, and reservable facilities that include a scenic amphitheater, indoor gathering space, and picnic shelters. The top of the park offers spectacular views of the Wausau area and the Wisconsin River. For more information about Rib Mountain State Park, visit their website at https://dnr.wisconsin.gov/topic/parks/ribmt.
Please register as soon as possible, as spots are limited! If you have any questions or concerns, reach out to czommers@cclse.org.
