Trauma Training (Appleton)
May 23 @ 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm
We believe that caregivers play a vital role in a child’s recovery and resiliency from trauma. Join us for a FREE 8-hour workshop and learn how to care for children who have experienced trauma.
Training Objectives
- Increase knowledge and beliefs related to trauma-informed parenting
- Learn to view children’s behaviors through the lens of their difficult past experiences and respond to challenging behaviors and emotions in a way that promotes healing
- Increase ability to tolerate challenging behaviors and maintain stable placement for children in foster, adoptive, and kinship care
- Increase feelings of efficacy about the ability to parent a child who has experienced trauma
- Become more aware of the importance of self-care and connect with other caregivers in a support network
