Styles4Kidz Workshop for Textured Hair Care: Greenfield

Attention foster and adoptive parents (or those awaiting placement) who desire to learn more about their child’s textured hair: This is the workshop for you! Styles4Kidz is designed to show parents (especially those with transracial children in their homes) how to work with textured hair, such as children with 3C to 4B textures.
This in-person instruction will be from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. It is a family hair affair (combo course) that covers textured hair basics and hands-on styling. This course provides an overview of textured hair and scalp care and hands-on instruction for three simple hairstyles: ponytails with twists, ponytails with basic underhand braiding, and Bantu knots. There will also be time for a Q&A!
Your registration includes a hair care kit, along with a signed copy of Styles4Kidz founder Tamekia Swint’s book, “Your Hair is Your Crown!”
Each ticket is good for one adult and either one child or one mannequin. This event is restricted to one child per family.
Your child must be able to sit for 2 hours consecutively. Feel free to bring snacks and entertainment for your child (i.e., phone, tablet, snacks, etc.) We will also have snacks and fidgets available.
