Sensory Processing & Big Emotions Workshop

October 15 @ 5:30 pm - 8:00 pm

PLEASE NOTE – Complimentary onsite childcare will be provided.
Children make sense of the world through how their bodies and brains receive, organize, and respond to sensory input. Sometimes a child’s response to sensory stimuli can be over-reactive (really big) or under-reactive (shut down) leading to big emotions and big behaviors. One of the best ways we can support and nurture our children is by understanding how they uniquely experience and respond to the world! The Sensory Processing and Big Emotions Workshop is offered through a collaboration between Bloom360 Learning Community and the Tree House Child and Family Center. There is NO cost for this workshop, and participants (one per family/household) will receive a complimentary copy of the “Brain-Body Parenting” book by Dr. Mona Delahooke, Ph.D.
Workshop Schedule:
  • Check-In & Lite Dinner | 5:30-6:00
  • Part 1/Sensory Process | 6:00-6:45
  • Break | 6:45-7:00
  • Part 2/BRAVE Big Emotions | 7:00-7:30
