Fog Lift: Chicago
May 18 @ 10:30 am - 7:30 pm
$99.99An interactive art experience crafted to raise awareness and alleviate the burdens of fear, obligation, and guilt experienced by adoptees.
The event will feature:
- #FogLiftFloats at The Museum of Ice Cream starting at 3 pm Friday for the first 30 ticket buyers!
- Concessions/Drink tickets for Saturday: You’ve heard of the Fog Lift Cocktail, right?
- Video screening of Suzanne Bachner’s play The Good Adoptee with in-person talk back feat. Suzanne and Bob Brader
- Live Podcast Recording of The Adoption Journey Podcast featuring Tarcia Smith who just reconnected with her paternal side in…. Chicago! Hosted by esteemed author KE Garland (In Search of a Salve), KE Garland!
- Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the thought-provoking film “Reckoning with the Primal Wound.”
- Q&A with Isaac Etter from Identity ft cast members Paul ‘Jack’ Fronczak, Autumn, and David Bohl, plus more surprise guests TBA!
- After-Party at Otherworld Theatre
- The decompression pod is available if you need a break!

10:30 am Doors open

1:10 – live podcast recording with Tarcia Smith from The Adoption Journey Podcast with host author KE Garland (In Search of a Salve)
2:30- film screening of Reckoning with the Primal Wound with Q&A hosted by Isaac Etter with me, Paul Fronczak, and David Bohl
5:30-7:30 after party at the same venue (OtherWorld theatre)
There is also an option to join virtually for those who cannot get to Chicago.
