Families Like Mine 2024: Relative Caregivers for Children Conference
September 14 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Families Like Mine is a free statewide conference for relative caregivers who are caring for children both through child welfare and informally. The all-day conference will feature lived-experience keynote speakers, presentations, time for connection, and a resource room.

- Forgiveness: Forgiveness Factor/Tim Markle
- National Family Caregiver Support Program and Respite Care of Wisconsin/Bryn Ceman and Leslie Thede
- Wisconsin Wayfinder: Essential Children’s Resources/Tim Markle
- Kids Matter Inc./Susan Conwell
Attendees will have opportunities to meet and connect with other relative caregivers from throughout the state, as well as collect resources for ongoing support.
A block of rooms has been reserved for Friday night, September 13, 2024. To reserve a room, call the Chula Vista Resort directly at 1-833-607-8489. Please refer to booking ID#: K25035 Coalition for Children Youth and Families for the “Families Like Mine Conference.” Rooms are filling fast. Please make your reservation by August 25 to receive the special group rate of $98 for a double queen suite, single occupancy.
