Welcome to National Foster Care Month!
Each year, the Children’s Bureau, together with the Child Welfare Information Gateway, partners with thought leaders, advocates, and ambassadors from select Federal, State, Tribal, and local agencies and organizations connected to foster care to plan and develop the National Foster Care Month campaign. The theme for this year is “Strengthening Minds. Uplifting Families,” highlighting the need to take a holistic and culturally responsive approach to supporting the mental health needs of those involved with child welfare.
At the Coalition, we believe that all children need champions, and all champions need support. The heart of our services is providing a caring, knowledgeable, safe place for parents and caregivers who need help, have questions, or simply need someone to talk to. We know that the last few years have been challenging for many of us. Our team of Resource Specialists are available to connect you and the children in your care with resources and support services to help you all heal and thrive.
We want to thank you for the role you play in strengthening the minds of children and youth and all you do to uplift and empower them to reach their full potential. Thank you for working with and supporting cooperative, co-parenting relationships to build a loving bridge to reunification. Thank you for being Champions for children, youth, and families!
